Surfwise

Bizarre and compelling documentary focuses on Jewish ex-physician Dorian "Doc" Paskowitz, who left a successful practice in the 1950s to lead a life "on the road" with his wife and nine children. Subjecting them to a strict regimen of diet and exercise, Paskowitz led his clan to notoriety as they engaged in surfing competitions, but his thirst for isolation and emotional volatility had devastating effects on his loved ones.
